Process and Task Form editing in jBPM Designer

Process and Task Form editing in jBPM Designer is a breeze with many cool features such as:
  • Customizable Form Widgets
  • Live Preview
  • Auto-completion on Process Variables, Globals, Data Objects, Data Inputs/Outputs
  • HTML element completion
  • Search and Search/Replace
In the video below we show off these features and demo the creation of both an HTML and a Mobile process form all using the In-Line Process and Task Form editing ability in jBPM Designer. These features allow you not to be tied to a particular set of form elements and web technologies which you are allowed to use, but give you the ability to decide how your forms should be defined and coded.

Enjoy :)

  2. Hi,

which version of jBPM Designer Web is shown in the video. It really rocks.
I just downloaded the latest release of jBPM and it only partially includes these cool features.

for example there is a "switch mode" button to toggle between the code and the preview view instead of having them side by side.....

    Thx for this article.

  3. This will be included in the next release of designer. For now you can build it yourself from master. The steps for that are:
    git clone https://github.com/droolsjbpm/jbpm-designer.git
    cd jbpm-designer
    mvn clean install
    cd target

then replace your designer war with jbpm-designer-2.4.0-SNAPSHOT-jboss7.war or jbpm-designer-2.4.0-SNAPSHOT-jboss.war depending if you are using AS7 or AS5.
Make sure to clear your browser cache before starting to use your new version and also look at how to update your color themes asset in the readme here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jbpm/files/designer/designer-2.3/

    Hope this helps.
